American Idol winner Jordin Sparks sings (lip syncs?) the National Anthem at the big upset that will be called Super Bowl 42. Giants defense dominated. Plain and simple and that sucks.

And here we have some Paula Abdul, performing (pre-recorded) on the NFL Super Bowl pre-show. So I wonder if this has-been who was Forever Your Girl can come back. I believe this song is on a cd that Randy Jackson is putting out as well as her upcoming cd to be released sometime in 2008.
I thought she would have done this much sooner, moreso when Idol first started (before she was all drunk and stuff). Oh well, best wishes.
Years ago, I found Delta Goodrem (somehow). She was about 18 and just released her debut album Innocent Eyes in Australia. That album turned a few songs to #1 as well as the album itself. She instantly became one of the top selling artists in Australian history.
Shortly after her major success, she met with a bigger challenge, Hodgkins Lymphoma. She battled through chemo and other treatments and is now in remission. Two more cds have been released and she is still as popular as ever down-under.
Plans for a US release were slated for 2007, yet nothing has happened. Here’s to hoping more people catch on. A beautiful woman with singing and songwriting abilities. “Born to Try” is her first single and “In this Life” is a more recent track. Check her out…

I found this random scene on the season finale of Ugly Betty pretty funny. Amanda (the receptionist) has been looking for her birth father for the past season and she finally finds out it is Gene Simmons (from KISS). So in this scene, she is performing a song she wrote for him and finally gets to meet him. HA. The song is priceless (so is her performance).
