This post is going to make me sound like the biggest wuss, but oh well, shove it!
So, every once and awhile I just want to accompany a bad day (or a miserable one or whatever) with a sad movie to just bring me down even further. It is my “company” in “Misery loves company”.

I’ll have to come back b/c I’m sure I’ve got more!
i like ur fev movies my fev are also disney movies these movies make me cry all the time i watch them
Okay, maybe a totally predictable answer: “E.T.”. But before you say anything — it gained a whole new dimension of meaning for me last year, when I couldn’t handle going to work the day after Virginia Tech (and I work in a University, albeit one on the other side of the country), and I needed to be alone and have a good cry. Good ol’ E.T. and Elliott didn’t let me down.
I try to avoid sad movies, but I’d have to say the last really sad movie that I saw was Becoming Jane. It was based on Jane Austen’s life and I was bawling by the end. I don’t think it was supposed to be sad, but it struck a chord for me.
This post would be great for the Movie Madness Carnival that I am hosting at my blog. Click the link for more details and leave me a comment to let me know if you will be participating:

Ugh, you forgot The Notebook!
only left out the Notebook cause that would really make me look like a wuss! HAHA
City of Angels. Atonement.
The first, and one of the only movies to make me cry was Terms of Endearment. In my opinion the saddest scene in any movie is when Debra Winger says goodbye to her sons. I cry just thinking about it!
You forgot about Titanic,too. I have seen it for about 20 times but it still makes me cry.
Definitely Simon Birch;;
the ending is the main cry-moment on there.
hi, i was looking for a sad movie so i entered this site….i cry to movies A Walk to Remember, Passions of the Christ, and The Pianist!!! those movies make me forget the happy times and remember the sad times….
Sad movies are cathartic, I just looove sad movies. I have seen so many, (I go to the movies to watch sad movies or war movies. Million Dollar Babe, the Pianist are great. So are the Champ, Kramer Vs. Kramer, well, there are thousands I could name here. THe only sad movies I don´t watch are those involving animals, such as Gorillas in the Mist. I have not seen it and will never see because those type of have the opposite effect on me, they make me depressed.
