Josiah Leming on Ellen – Tuesday

Looks like the ex-American Idol hopeful Josiah Leming is making his rounds. He was at MTV the other day and now on Ellen. Does this mean that the rest of America is showing some interest? I’ll update once the episode airs.

Once again, here’s to hoping that the corporate music business doesn’t stifle this kids creativity.

I’m so happy for Josiah that he is being recognized for his very special talent! If he had won Idol, his individuality might have been suppressed and manipulated to fit the pop radio market. His songwriting is amazing for someone so young! I hope he can make it big on his own terms. However, he is so young that if he wants to try out for Idol again, he has another eleven years in which to do it!

I like him, he’s a good vocalist, keyboardist and song writer, but seriously, he’s getting a bit Madonna-eque with the bloody fake English accent when he sings. I think he’ll do well, but he seems to only be able to fit into one genre: Keane-ish.

I love watching him sing. He pours his heart into it. And when he finishes, he looks up and smile šŸ™‚ A little habit of his I guess.
